A few weeks ago, Twitter unveiled Periscope Producer– an extension of the Periscope app that allows brands and media organizations to stream and produce live video to the program using external cameras. This means professional-grade cameras and stream software can easily produce high quality productions to be streamed directly to Periscope and Twitter, improving the viewing quality and engagement from viewers.

“Allowing people to create and share produced live video on Periscope has always been part of our vision and opens up new types of content for everyone to watch live,” said Kayvon Beykpour, CEO of Periscope. “Periscope allows anyone to watch something with an audience, and now they’re able to watch daily shows, large and small-scale events and other live video with compelling content from creators they know and love. High-quality, produced live video can now be shared anywhere through a Tweet.”

Currently you have to sign up for this program to gain access to this feature, once you receive access you will be able to go into your Periscope app’s profile settings, and in Additional Sources you can generate the streaming link. After that enter into your professional equipment, once your stream starts recording, you’ll see a preview in Periscope from which you can publish the stream publicly. Once a stream has started, you will have all the typical Periscope features at your disposal, like visible replies from the audience, view counts, feedback hearts, and more.

Creators can apply at this link here. Time to flex your muscles streamers!!
