It has been officially confirmed, Destiny 2 will be coming to the PC platform. This rumour has been floating around for some time and yesterday it was revealed on Destiny’s website; in a pre-order option list that the game will have multiple editions available and the PC will be as a selectable platform.

Bungie had this to say about the announcement on their site:

“Thus begins the conversation about our next adventure together. There will be so much more to say before we reunite the Guardians to reclaim their city from the most dreaded threat it has ever faced. Fortunately, we’ll have all summer long to dive into the details.

This is a new beginning for every player. We know you have questions about the worlds you’ll explore, the enemies you’ll fight, the powers you’ll master, and (as Cayde promised) the loot you’ll earn. All will be answered in the weeks and months to come. It should be a hell of a ride.

At this moment, our focus is the story we’re telling in Destiny 2. Up next, we’ll take a look at the gameplay. Your first opportunity to see Guardians in action will happen on May 18. We hope to have you all in the audience for the gameplay reveal livestream.

This summer will be your chance to get your hands on a controller. You’ll be invited to help us prepare for the launch of Destiny 2 by joining an open Beta. Players who pre-order will be the first to jump into action, but we’ll be calling on all Guardians to give their feedback.

There will be so many other stops to make on the road to September 8. The journey that leads to Destiny 2 will circle the globe and span the solar system. We’ve only fired the first shot.”

The original game was a popular title at its worldwide release on September 9, 2014, for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One consoles. Since then it’s developed quite the loyal fan base, so their upcoming sequel should do quite well.

We move onto Oculus news where its co-founder Palmer Luckey, who became infamous last year for his support for the pro-Trump “shitposting” group Nimble America, has left the company. This development has been confirmed by Oculus themselves who had this to say:

Palmer will be dearly missed. Palmer’s legacy extends far beyond Oculus. His inventive spirit helped kickstart the modern VR revolution and build an industry. We’re thankful for everything he did for Oculus and VR, and we wish him all the best.

No word on what his future endeavors might be.

And finally, some fantastic about one of our favourite Game Developers; in its 2016 financial results, CD Projekt has revealed that total sales of the award winning Witcher 3 has exceeded $250 million, and the entire trilogy has now sold more than 25 million copies. Piotr Nielubowicz, Vice President for Financial Affairs, had this to say:

The strong market position of The Witcher underpins the commercial success of the Blood and Wine expansion pack, published in May. The 2016 revenues and net profit of the CD PROJEKT Capital Group were equivalent to 75% of the corresponding figures for 2015, which is when the release of The Witcher 3 took place. These excellent financial results for the past two years enable us to pursue new, ambitious undertakings and further expand our enterprise. Key development projects currently underway include Cyberpunk 2077 and GWENT: The Witcher Card Game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is still in development, buy industry rumours have suggested that the property is alot closer to conclusion that we previously anticipated.
