AnimeKon broke its record for most guests in a single year, only a little over a week after having made it, by announcing their eight – yes, eighth – guest for this year’s edition of the convention, World of Wonder. The convention revealed that classically trained painter, penciller, artist and inker Mark Texeira will be joining Manu Bennett, Olivia Olson, Kay Bear, Britt Bliss, Charlie Adlard, Natalie Skyy and Kevin McNally from August 16tth-19th.
Texeira has worked for Marvel, DC and Image Comics, among others, on such titles as Punisher War Journal, Moon Knight vol. 4, Cyclops, Spider-Man: Legacy of Evil, Jonah Hex, Hex, Swamp Thing, Stormwatch, The Darkness: Wanted Dead, Tomb Raider: Scarface’s Treasure and Union #1.
