Two weeks after teasing fans that she would be releasing new music soon, Ch’An delivered her newest single “Runaway” today, as well as a lyric video. “Runaway” is described as as “a song about finding love against all odds” in the video’s description on YouTube.

Somewhat reminiscent of Rihanna’s own “Love On The Brain”, “Runaway” quickly distinguishes itself from the former by transitioning into an epic ballad that shows off Ch’An’s skill and ability as a powerful vocalist, worthy of carrying on the mantle of legendary artists like Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin.

Shot on the East Coast of Barbados, the cinematic video – produced by Mosi Daniel and Mia Cumberbatch and directed by the former – features Ch’An running, crawling, horseback riding and climbing across dramatic landscapes before reuniting with her love (played by INO Podcast and Pulse Radio Show host, Marcus Myers).

“Runaway” was written by Mia Cumberbatch, produced by Mosi Daniel, mixed and mastered by Rubadan Productions and features guitar by Reyshad ‘Xavi’ Selman.
